Dear Sturm family,
Saddened to hear of Jerry's death. He was so sweet to me while I was Deb's roommate in Dallas Texas while attending Flight Attendant training. Deb and Jerry were so dear to me, they took me under their wing along with many newly graduated Flight Attendants from Braniff International. What a great man and family.

I have been going to The South for over 40 years. I was always impressed how Jerry was always there to greet you, sitting at the front table with a friend or two or three or four. I know he loved his staff because so many worked there for almost as long as we have been going there. They say that the only way your grow in life are by the books you read, the PEOPLE you meet, and your experiences along the way. Thank you Jerry, my wife and I ALWAYS looked forward to an evening seeing many friends and familiar faces at The South. RIP Jerry, you are traveling a road we all must take one day. They say "To Live in Hearts left behind is not to die".... you will live on in many hearts and minds, your Quesorito was the very best!!!!!

Ive known Jerry most of my life from going to eat at The South since I was a kid, we continued the tradition with my kids, and they grew to love him too. My son has 2 autographed football cards from Jerry and will cherish them even more now. So many great memories of his kindness and friendship. He always remembered me when I came home from Seattle. Versatile, durable, and productive offensive lineman, whose pro career spanned 3 decades. And a noble man of integrity, who demonstrated the concept of the term: "do the right thing."
