1918 - 2014 Obituary Condolences

Nathan L. Krisberg, husband of Corinne (McNally), passed away on March 10, 2014 at his home in Golden, Colorado. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Clare and Tom Cavanaugh, and grandson and wife, Eric and Marissa Trout.

Born in Moline, Illinois on July 11, 1918, Nathan grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1940. During World War II he served in North Africa and Italy. He was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in July, 1945 and later the Legion of Merit with Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in 1956 honoring his outstanding service.

Following WWII Nathan took the option to be part of the newest branch of the services, the Air Force. He received his Ph.D. in Experimental Nuclear Physics from Ohio State University in 1949, and completed Post Doctoral Studies at California Institute of Technology in 1956. He was stationed at Wright Patterson AFB and headed up the European Office of Air Research and Development in Brussels. He retired in 1961 as a full colonel.

Nathan went on to work at the Boeing Company as Chief Engineer, Missile Division, and General Electric Company as General Manager, Military Programs. He retired from private industry in 1976 and moved to Denver, Colorado.
