There are not even enough words to say how much Bill meant to me. While I worked for Bill for 15 years, he was so much more than a boss. Not only was he my most favorite person in the world but also he was like a father to me. I am proud to call him a best friend. We were friends for 24 years and I already miss our chats. I miss calling him with good news or just to talk. I miss getting random articles in the mail (with a sticker attached - he knows I love stickers), emails about products or services to make my business better, or texts about the Broncos. He was a modest man with the most genuine, generous and caring heart. Leading by example, he taught me how to be humble, selfless and a good person. My heart is little emptier now that he is gone and I miss him immensely. My condolences and love to the entire Hofgard Family!

My sincere condolences to Mark, Jeff, Kurt, and the extended family. Bill was my employer for six years and it was an honor to work for him and his family business. I was saddened to hear the news. I know he will be greatly missed.

I wanted to add this to my original note: I thought it was auspicious and moving that this was published on Lucas' birthday (Bill's grandson)

Bill was very dear to me and I am deeply saddened about this news. He was considerate and kind-hearted. He treated me with kindness and I will forever be grateful for that. May angels watch over him. Sending my sincere condolences to his family and friends during this time of sorrow.

My apologies to Kurt. I've not seen the Hofgards in almost 45 years. I'd forgotten Jeff had a younger brother that used to come to our gymnastics meets. But it is a testimony to the affect Bill had on others.

I am sorry for your loss. Bill was one of the good guys. It was a pleasure knowing and working with Bill over the years in the Boulder County Estate Planning Council (BCEPC).
