I worked with Jerry at the Denver Art Museum in 1972-1974
He was a very nice man to work with.

He was the husband of my dear friend Christine. He was a wonderful father and husband, and an extraordinary painter. His wit was bone-dry and surprising. I'll miss him.

Jeremy Hillhouse was perhaps the most underappreciated artist in Denver and the state. Exhibitions designer for the Denver Art Museum from 1972 until his retirement in 2000, Jeremy was also a perceptive and incredibly talented painter. HIs vision as a Colorado landscape painter was to look east to the plains instead of west towards the mountains. The relationship between rolling land and roiling sky was his subject and no one did it better than Jeremy.
