He was an amazing teacher. He taught me the “gestalt” of seeing which informed my entire view of painting. I wanted to tell him how much he changed my life only to find he had died. It was too late. I am devastated not to be able tell him how much he meant to me.

I wanted to tell him that he taught me to see, as an art undergrad at the University of Denver in 1963/4. I am crushed to discover that I am too late to praise him.

Roger was my best friend in grade school, high school, and at Notre Dame until he moved away from South Bend. A very important part of my youth is gone with his passing, but I still have may happy memories of the the years of our friendship

We anticipated Roger's summer visit to Loveland, to relax and enjoy conversation. Amazing stories, always interesting bird talk or sharing fish lures and of course art. We enjoyed his company in life, and enjoy his memory now, we so love and miss him. Our deepest simpathies to the Kotoske Family, Lee Stark and Gloria, Loveland, CO

Roger was an amazing friend and neighbor. He was a passionate and caring member of our little community. His smile and contagious laugh brought light and joy to our town every summer. A part of our hearts and lives will be a little darker with Roger gone. Our love to the Kotoske family. From the LaGiglia family, Silver Plume, CO.
