I had heard of Liz through the years, but until she called suddenly and we became friends, I couldn't believe how quickly Liz grew our friendship. She was more concerned with my health than she was with her own self. After about 2 months of phone conversations, finding we had similar interests, and getting to know this person I had heard of, to hear of her passions, to feel her strength---I am very sad to loose her. But I look forward to the day when Jesus comes and calls those of us sleeping to wake up to our new perfect bodies and to go to Heaven with Jesus and friends,(1 Thess 4:16,17) I will look for Liz, my new friend. Henry, Jack, Ashley and Dave, my heart goes out to you in losing such a lovely part of your lives. God bless you and comfort you.

A servant in the making.
The value of life was shown to us in the life lived by Our Lord Jesus Christ: to love Him with all our heart and soul and mind and then others as ourselves. To be of service to others at our own expense. Swan certainly was a servant to family and to her students whom she loved with all her heart and for whom she put herself out on many occasions for their betterment. I do not believe that one could have lived out life any better than she did. Sleep sweetly dear Swan. "S&S"

The Leonard and Soldati Family send our love to Henry, Jack, Ashley, the children, and David. We wish we could be with you at the service, but fear Pocatello Idaho is a bit far. I met Liz when our children were very young and in a playgroup, and much later we shared a dinner group together. Liz was generous, kind, resourceful, smart, and knew how to be a good friend. She kept in touch over 28 years, which I appreciated so very much. Farewell, dear friend, and love to all the Feldmans.

I attend the same parish as Liz and I got to know her better after her diagnosis. She was a great example of faith and her positive attitude about life will always remain an inspiration for me. Thank you, Liz !

I knew Liz when we both worked at GW High School and more recently we were facilitators at the Museum of Nature and Science. She always expressed regards toward my son who was one of her students. Blessings to all.

I only know Swan from her adolescent days in Syracuse with Michael, when we shared mutual cousins, Ronnie and Jimmy. I wish that I had known her as an adult as she sounded like a wonderful, loving, and caring person. My heartfelt sympathy to her family. Rest in peace, Swanie.

Henry my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Liz was a sweet and kind lady who always wore my favorite stone..... Moonstone! She introduced me to her friend who had jewlery parties. It was a pleasure to see her happy face on Sunday's at the East High School Farmers Market.

The angels needed her in heaven to take all of her pain away, but I know she will be watching over all of you.

All of the words that should apply to an excellent teacher and kind, decent human being applied to Liz. She was my classroom neighbor for about 16 years, and a more dedicated, caring person would be hard to find. But what I remember most about Liz and her relationships with students was a total desire to make whatever was wrong into something right: whether that was a battle to understand a hard subject and achieve success or to negotiate the daily obstacles of being a teen at a time when that was a bigger challenge than it ought to be. Mrs. Feldman was there for all of those and she made a difference.

Liz was my hallway neighbor and mentor at GW. She always had a smile on her face and a warmth that reassured me that everything was going to be ok. She showed me that being part of the school community involved everything from dancing with a group of teachers in front of the school to helping every child in her classroom. She gave heart each and everyday and GW was not the same without her nor will this world be the same without her. I know that she has touched so many lives that her spirit will continue on in all that she has done. I am truly honored to have known Liz and am forever grateful for everything she taught me
My thoughts and love are with the family and thank you to all of you for sharing such a wonderful woman with us.

Liz's pure and genuine sweet spirit and helpful ways reminds that “Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8 God blessed Liz and promoted her into one of His heavenly mansions. Thank you Lord for her.

Swan, I am ever grateful to God for having been blessed to share a part of your life. And I am confident that when the time comes for Christ to return to gather His children and bring them back home, He will look straight into your eyes and say to you "well done good and faithful servant".
