Dr. Myers changed my life. He treated me and talk to me like I was his son. His Plan of treatment controlled my Seizures, that his respect for me as a person was something I hadn“t Known before. I did not realize that he had passed. He told my parents he would be glad to take me as his son. That meant everything to me.

I had the opportunity of working with Dr Myers in the late 1960s and early 1970s at PCMC in the Child Development Clinics--not only at PCMC but also some outlying clinics he visited. He was always a most caring and compassionate individual who sought the best for the children he saw. I made a sign for his cabin that I thought was an appropriate pun on the family name, "Myers' Bedside Manor". Truly, it was my pleasure to have worked with Dr Myers in assisting him with some of the social work follow-up in meeting the needs of children. I knew him to be a wonderful man.

We have been blessed to live in the same ward with all of you, Garth, Leah, and family. We have grown old together. The snow, this morning, has confined us two old people to our home. Sorry we must miss the viewing and funeral.
Much love,

Garth was very special to our family. It began almost 50 years ago when Cherie's handicapped sister was born. Garth was there to support JuneAnn and her mother. Cherie's brother was named after the dear doctor who helped Carolyn through the tough times.
Many years later we moved down the street from Garth. He has been wonderful to our family. He then helped us with our son who has learning challenges.
Garth was a dear man. We love him and will him, but we are grateful that he went quickly to his loving wife.

The best years working at PCMC was working with Dr. Myers. We had a good working relationship. He was a gentle, kind, caring person and always loved the children with their special needs. May God Bless his family.

OUR SON WAS TWO YEARS OLD WHEN HIS SIEZURES BEGAN. UP TILL THEN HE WAS IN GOOD HEALTH. DOCTOR MYERS BECAME A SPECIAL PERSON TO US. HE WAS TRULY A PATIENTS DOCTOR IN EVERY WAY. HE TRIED EVERYTHING HE COULD TO HELP. WE TRIED SPECIAL DIETS, MEDICINES AND HE TRULY CARED. ONE TIME THEY TOOK HIM TO LDS HOSPITAL FOR A SPECIAL TEST. IN A FEW MOMENTS HE CAME TO THE WAITING ROOM ALMOST IN TEARS. DURING THE PROCEDURE HE STARTED TO HAVE SEIZURES AND THINGS CAME TO AN ABRUPT END. HE SAID HE WAS AFRAID THEY HAD MADE HIM WORSE AND THEY FELT THEY HAD HURT HIM. IN A DAY HE WAS MOVING AROUND AND WAS FINE. HE BECAME SO CLOSE TO HIS CARE AND AND EFFORTS THAT HE GAVE HIS PRIVATE PHONE NUMBER AT HIS CABIN. OUR SON IS 50 YEARS OLD AND STILL HAS SEIZURES BUT WE RELECT ON DR. MYERS QUITE OFTEN. HE WAS TRULY A BLESSING TO OUR FAMILY. WE WERE A YOUNG COUPLE OF 24 YEARS OLD AND NEEDED SOMEONE LIKE HIM AT THAT TIME. MAY THE LORD BLESS YOUR FAMILY. HE WAS SPECIAL

My fondest memories of your dad and our friend. I was privileged to work with Dr. Myers at PCMC and enjoyed him tremendously. Then my brother moved in just down the street from he and his dear wife, and we were able to see them in church meetings and activities. He was always happy and very friendly and kind to me and my family. He was a very good man and a blessing in the lives of many!

I am so grateful for this good man and the talents he shared in caring for the children who sought his medical care. He saved the life of one of my children by consulting with other specialists in his profession. May his family find comfort in knowing that there are patients and parents who respect and admire his life of service to children.

My family had the privilege to move into Garth and Leah's neighborhood a little over 30 years ago. They were the model of kindness and Christian charity in all they did. When Garth was in the Bishopric of the Monument Park 3rd Ward (now the Foothill 7th) he supervised my area of the Ward organization. He was always kind and humorous in making sure I was doing what needed to be done. Even though we have been in a different location for the last seventeen years, my memories of Garth Myers are still warm. Despite his great professional accompishments, Garth was a humble and unassuming man. The family can be justly proud of his life and example.

Hi my name is Jody V. Siciliano and doctor Garth Myers was my Dr. at the age of two. My Parents Barbara and Joe Siciliano took me to several Dr's, but no one could help me until they took me to Dr. Garth Myers he totally saved my life. I saw him from age 2 to age 8 years of age at the time I had uncontrolable seizures at that time they were called petite mall, grand mall, and a third one I can't recall the name. I had any where from 10 to over 50 or more a day, but Garth Myers put me on Mysoline,Diamox, and Meberal which at that time turn my whole life around.Today I am totally seizure free for 27 years, and I have had no reaccurance of any kind. I contribute that to Dr. Garth Myers, superb, excellent medical judgment care he gave me. I wish I had the chance to tell him this myself before his passing. I will always have a soft place for him in my heart after all he gave me back my life. He definitly wasn't affraid to be used by God, and I am sure he is sitting with Jesus at the Lords supper and with all the Angels. I know for sure the Lord is saying well done faithful one you have served me well. Now in closing I would like to say Thank you to "Our Lord Jesus Christ" for knowing such a fine Human Man he sure has recieved his honor of metal. I will miss you and so will my family. Thank You for touching my life it will never be the same. I will love you always your former patient who is now writng this at age 48. Sincerely, Jody V.Siciliano.

When I opened the newspaper today I was shocked to see that Dr Myers has passed away. He was one of my parents favorite doctors to my handicap sister for many years. We happened to be talking about him on Tuesday as I sat at Primary Childrens with on of my daughters. My Dad speaks with high respect of him.
My condolences to his family.

Dr. Myers had a heart of gold for all the children/families that he served so earnestly. The lives of children with disabilities in the state of Utah have all been made better due to his efforts. It was an honor to work with him for so many years. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.

Garth was a model of all of the best attributes displayed by
physicians and my relationship with him fostered so many aspects of ways in which physicians truly care for the people they serve.
He also had a a wonderful sense of humor which went along with his academic accomplishments.
best wishes to all of you, his family for sharing him with us all of these years. gill and ginny sanders
