What a wonderful man he was! I only met him in the final months of his extraordinary life as he, his amazing brother Gene, and I compared genealogy notes. What a blessing it must have been to know him for years.
Rest in peace, Brother.

I'm sorry it took a while to communicate, but I wanted to say how much I appreciated Bro Perkins and his kind heart. Many years ago (about 33) my young daughter and I were playing a game in the front yard and and she somehow managed to get a hard round seed stuck in her nose. We couldn't get it out and we called Dr. Waldo... I believe it was a Saturday afternoon. He had us come to his office and he was able to remove it... And I've always been grateful for his kindness and generosity. As a true friend and example I've always been impressed with his kindness and support! Wishing you all the best until we meet again! Much love!

A beautiful memory I have of Waldo and Diane was playing the piano at my Mom and Dad's house and singing LDS Hymns together. Waldo was a truly kind and caring man who will be missed my many.

So sorry for your loss for this fine Dr. He was the greatest doctor I've had. I was his patient at the Salt Lake Clinic. He did surgery on my ears on July of 1969, at the LDS Hospital. Every time I came in for having my ears cleaned, He would always asked me "How many mileage do have on your car". One time, I told him about 600 miles. He looked at me and said "Another new car??? I said yes! From that day he never missed saying "How many mileage do you have on your car by now".
My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

President and Sister Perkins were a tremendous blessing in my life as a young missionary in Hawaii 30 years ago. I always looked forward to Presidents inspired, wise and kind counsel at zone conferences. And it was always a much anticipated hi-light to receive Sister Perkins' delicious treats she'd bring in for us on big cookie sheets. We knew she'd spent hours baking on our behalf. She was a fabulous cook and an insightful mission Mother. (She always brought copies of the recipe with her-and I still have many of those cherished recipes!) President Perkins attended my wedding, and sent me a Christmas card almost every year since returning from Hawaii. A true stalwart and distinguished man - most worthy of emulation. We all loved them both dearly.
