Steven Benson Obituary

Steven Boyd Benson 1970 ~ 2007 Salt Lake City, Utah- Steven Boyd Benson, 37, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 14, 2007. He was born August 28, 1970, in Pocatello, Idaho, to John Boyd Benson and Lucille Wright Benson. He married Karen Bustamante in the Santiago Chile LDS Temple. Steven was thoughtful, giving, hard-working and loved kids. He had a youthful passion for life and loved spending time with his daughters, Belén and Lía, and his nieces and nephews. They always looked forward to spending time with him, playing and talking with them one on one. His family and friends meant everything to him. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007, 11 a.m. in the Santa Clara 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 1750 Desert Dawn Drive. A visitation will be held at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., on Friday, October 19, 2007, 6-8 p.m., and from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the ward chapel prior to services. Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery in St. George under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary, 435-673-4221. Steve was a wonderful friend. He always kept things exciting as we were growing up together in St. George. Steve was an individual of great talents, not the least among them was his spirit of generosity. Steve was kind to everyone around him and always willing to extend a hand in friendship. I was blessed to have known him.

Our hearts and prayers are with your family at this time. Steve was the greatest of friends, examples and confidants. He kept me sane many a times at College. He always could teach you from any experience and made the best out of all situations. His Love of life made everything fun and everyone happy. So many of us have been blessed by his friendship and love. Thank you for raising and sharing such a wonderful son with us.
