Arden was a good friend and always a gentlemen. I met Arden in 1980 when he worked at Inkley's in Sandy. I was the Rollie Camera representative, Arden and I became photo and ski buddies when I would be in town. I was fortunate to stay with Arden and Allison several times and will always cherish his friendship. In 1982 Rollie was dissolved and I opened my own camera shop in California, I was fortunate to reunite with Arden a few times when he visited California a few years later. I married and started a family and we somehow lost touch. My daughter is temporarily living in salt lake with her husband who is playing professional Hockey with the Utah Grizzlies. I wanted to reconnect with Arden and decided to Google him, and so here I am. My heart is broken and I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer to see my dear buddy, in heaven with our father. My prayers and condolences to his family.

While it's been a long time since I've seen or talked to Arden, he was a true Jimmy Buffett fan. I had the experience of going to a Jimmy Buffett concert with him in Denver at Fiddlers Green and those of us that went had Parrots on the side of our sunglasses and Jimmy Buffett came out on stage and saw us (about 10 of us) and said "Now there's some Parrot Heads" the place went crazy at Fiddlers Green!!!

Thoughts and prayers with the Oliphant family. Arden was a great guy!!

My deepest sympathies to the entire family. Arden was a great guy who always took time for the "little kids" in our ward growing up. He had a way of always making people smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow & separation. May the celebration of Ardens life bring you joy and may the Spirit bring each of peace.
