Arden L. Oliphant "If You Can't Be Good, Be Careful" Arden Lee Oliphant, 53, passed away January 11, 2011 of natural causes. Born June 8, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Everett Wheeler and Carole Jeanne Lake Oliphant. Arden attended Olympus High School and graduated in 1975. Attended the University of Utah. He was called and served a faithful LDS mission to Kirtland, Ohio. Married Allison Smith; later divorced. Married Julie Burns in 1985 and together they raised three children; later divorced. Arden was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. He loved his Heavenly Father and served as an ordinance worker in the temple. He was a successful business owner and photographer. He loved golfing, fishing, music, taking pictures, the family cabin at Hanna and spending time with family and friends. Arden loved playing with his granddaughter. He also loved Jimmy Buffett and was a true Parrothead. Arden is survived by children: Justin, Tyler, Nicole and Carter; granddaughter, Savannah Jane Bullock; sister, Karen (Brigg) LeSeuer; brothers: Neil, Stan (Lori), Brent (Lisa), Doug (SueAnne); and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother, Blair; parents; uncle, Roger. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011, 12:30 p.m. at the Holladay 8th Ward, 5450 South Holladay Blvd. where a viewing will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
