Baylor Christian Stout, age 13, our beloved son and brother returned to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father and became our angel on Sunday, July 22nd, 2018 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Baylor was born on March 16, 2005 in Ogden, Utah to his loving parents Marty Lee Stout and Staci Kay (Moosman) Stout.
Baylor was very caring, kind and thoughtful. He loved life and had a wonderful sense of humor. He lived to make others happy and loved to make people laugh. Baylor was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Boy Scouts of America. He was a Star Scout and was working hard to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. He served as 2nd counselor in his Deacon's quorum and looked forward to serving an LDS mission.
Baylor attended South Jordan Middle School and participated in the Chinese Immersion program. He had a passion for Asian art and culture. He loved the outdoors and spent time hiking and riding his motorcycle with his family at their cabin. He was a loyal friend, enjoyed playing video games and spending time with his brothers. He was a talented artist and loved to draw.
Baylor had Hemophilia B, a bleeding disorder and looked forward each year to going to Camp Valor with the Utah Hemophilia Foundation.
Baylor is survived by parents Marty and Staci, brothers Tyler, Joshua and Sawyer and grandparents Alan and Joan Stout (Price, UT), and Merlin and Carol Moosman (Carbonville, UT) as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a choice spirit of our Heavenly Father and we are so grateful for the time we were able to share with him. We are a forever family and know that we will see Baylor again.
A viewing will be held to celebrate his life from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S), South Jordan, UT 84095.

He sounds like an amazing boy, a life that was unique to one, but touched many. He deserved to live far longer than he was given.

I'm sorry to watch him go that day. Wish we could have been able to do something to keep him here. Very heartbroken to watch him leave this earth. I'm sorry to see such a young boy leave so soon. Going to enjoy the day with the family comes to a end. I'm sorry to his dad and mother and his brothers.

Dear reader,

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts will be with the family. A friend of mine told me about this heartbreaking tragedy when it occurred and he sent me the link to this guestbook moments ago. His son was close to Baylor as I am sure Baylor was close to many. Although I am not acquainted with the Stout family, I wish everyone the absolute best and I hope the heartache will lessen as time grows closer to your reunion with each other in Heaven.

Take care.

Baylor was one of the best friends we could've asked for for our sweet Sean. Baylor and Sean seemed to be cut from a similar cloth. Baylor helped Sean make it through 7th grade happily. We always loved to see Baylor's sweet smile at our doorstep. Baylor made us smile and laugh often. We're going to deeply miss his amazing spirit, but he'll always be close to our hearts. We're so thankful to have gotten to know him and for all the great memories Sean was able to make with him. We'll be thinking of him and you often and hope to see all of you often too...Love, The Walkers

To the Stout family and all who love Baylor, I extend my love to you at this difficult painful time. Just 2 weeks ago Baylor offered to make me a quesadilla while we worked together on a Dental Hygiene project. I knew then he was a kind thoughtful boy and he made me smile! You are so blessed to have him forever. Much love to you!

My heart if full of sorrow for your family! I'm one of Joan's "mutual" girls, so many of us girls have loved your family! We used to tend Marty as well as Michael & Deena, we loved watching Alan & Joan at home, teasing each other, wrestling around & the great love they have for the Savior, his gospel & their family. Because of their great faith & love, you all have the knowledge of being with your sweet boy for eternitu. I send all my love & prayers for you all!

Dear Stout Family,

Our hearts are broken for the loss of your Baylor. Our prayers are filled with pleadings for peace and comfort to rest heavily with your family. I pray you will find access to the power of the Atonement in your hearts and lives in a way youve never felt before as you try to move forward without Baylor in your days and by your side. My son James has been a classmate of Baylors for the past 7 years and will miss him! At moments like this I realize how much good and how many lives can be touched by one person. Baylor has touched so many in so many ways. He will continue to bless multitudes until you are in his embrace again.

My love to you Staci, Sawyer and all your family!

Stout family,

You don't know me, but I live in the same ward as Spencer and Liesel Stout. We have been friends with them for years. I just wanted to tell you how very sorry I am for the loss of your beautiful son. My son passed away about 18 months ago and it brought grief and pain to our family that I didn't know existed. I know that you are experiencing that same grief and pain now. Jesus Christ carried me when I thought I couldn't do it anymore. He will also carry you. I'm grateful for the knowledge that we have of eternal families and our testimony of this has helped my family cope with our loss. You will miss Baylor every single day, but the burden becomes easier to bear. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Love, Andrea Tucker
