Dear Jerry and family. I understand your great loss and sorrow.

Bobbye was such a powerful instrument in the battle of this ugly disease of cancer, spending her time to help make the public more aware of this health problem.

I know how great the hole in your heart is because I just lost my best friend and solemate on June 6, 2004 after 32 years of marital bliss to breast cancer.

May the Good Lord bless you and your family!

You will be in my prayers.

Dear Coach Sloan and Family,

My sincerest condolences and sympathy go out to you and your family. While I didn't know Bobbye personally, I felt she was a very noble and courageous woman, full of joy and warmth and shared a part of herself with us here in Salt Lake City. I will never forget her indomitable spirit and positive outlook on life in the midst of her struggles. I will pray for your family to be able to deal with their grief and sadness. Thank you Jerry for sharing her with us for this brief interlude in time. Please know that many people care. God Bless, Kathy Morrow

Dear Coach Sloan & Family,

Please accept my deepest sympathy upon the loss of your dear wife and mother.

Coach Sloan, it was a thrill for me each time my little black miniature French poodle and I (older redheaded woman) saw you and Bobbye @ Sugarhouse Park. You were both so cheery and greeted us with a smile. You were such a handsome couple and I shall always have those pictures in my mind's eye. It made my day each time we saw you.

May God be with you all.

Sincerely,

Donna Painter

Jerry & Family: I would like to offer my condolences. Bobbye was such an inspiration to all. We received many hours of enjoyment watching the Jazz organization grow and knew that Bobbye was always by your side. My husband and I were married 35 years and were avid Jazz fans. Bill passed away in July 2001 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. We were best friends. We commuted to work together and regularly had lunch together. We attended many Jazz games, as well. When I heard of Bobbye's illness and ultimately her passing, my heart was immediately saddened for you and your family. I have found through three years of loss that the pain of the loss of someone you love so much does not ease. But with hope and prayer, one is able to carry on, day by day. God bless you. Cheryll

I will miss seeing Bobbye garage selling and chating with her. She was always buying stuff for her grand children. She told me last summer that she did not like taking coach with her because she did not get as good of deals. I thought that was so cute.

She was a great lady.

Coach Sloan and Family:I extend my sincere, heartfelt sympathy at this time of great sadness. I am a cancer survivor. Seventeen years ago, I was told I had cervical cancer. I was a single mother of a three year old daughter. We were just having our first home built. I know you can imagine the fear I went through. I am here due to great medical care and because I was diligent in getting my yearly physical. Having lost several loved ones to this dreaded disease, I, along with you, will pray for a cure for all cancers. Your Wife/Mother left her mark here on earth giving hope to many people. She was truly a lovely lady in every sense of the word.

Nothing can be said at this time to ease your pain. My hope is that you may read this at a time of need and know you are not alone. As a survivor your devotion to each other and your enabling us to be a small part of your lives gives us strength to carry on. May this in turn give you the strength to carry on with us. May God Bless you and your family today and always.

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Coach Sloan's lovely wife Bobbye. I have been a Spurs fan for most of my adult life and have followed Coach Sloan's career for many years. Any time I heard his name, or Bobbye's name I would say a special prayer for them. May God Bless the Sloan family. Stay strong knowing that one day you will all be reunited in God's presence with no more pain or sorrow. God Bless.
