Cliff was my drama teacher at Rolling Hills High School, and he had this amazing red hair & van dyke beard. He gave me a ride home one day when I sprained an ankle and he saw me hobbling along at the start of a long, two-mile walk home. You were one cool teacher, Cliff!

Cliff Birrell was my Rolling Hills High drama teacher in 1976/77. He made all aspects of the theatre fun. We all learned scenic design, makeup, lighting design, etc. in addition to acting. He made us all feel important, and gave many of us a safe and comfortable place to be in the evenings while working on a play. Many of us found so much inspiration that they made aspects of the theatre their professions, from lighting design to stage managing. Thank you Cliff, you were the best.
