Patricia (Lindley) Nelson

Patricia Lindley Nelson 1949 ~ 2006 Our Mom's nine-year battle with thyroid cancer finally came to an end early Sunday morning, March 12, 2006 with her husband and daughters by her side. Mom was courageous and endured many surgeries and treatments without complaint. She was born May 19, 1949 to loving and kind hearted parents, Charles and Ilene Lindley. She was a caring and devoted single mom to her young daughters. Then on August 29, 1980 married William Jess Nelson. Dad loved taking his Sugar Bear traveling in their trailer, enjoyed yearly trips to Mexico with Ken, Linda and friends. NASCAR racing, sewing, collecting moose artifacts and just being with family. Her mom was her best friend, just as Mom was ours. Her friends at Becton Dickinson, where she worked for 27 years, were her second family. She was extremely loved by many people and though she was in much pain, she continued to offer love, support and encouragement to all she knew. She was a powerful influence in all our lives. She was a member of the LDS Church where she also received much support. Survived by her encouraging husband, caring mother, two proud daughters; Gina (Jeff) Brown, Ricky (Billy) Kunkler, 11 adoring grandkids, sisters; Janice (Ron) Larrabee, Gayle (Jerry) Erickson, numerous nieces and nephews and her cats; Moose and Baby. Preceded in death by her daddy and little brother, Charlie. We will carry you in our hearts forever. Friends and family may visit Thursday, March 16, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 East 7800 South.
