In Loving Memory
Christopher Thomas Markosian; father, son, and deeply loved by all who knew him, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at his home in Sandy, Utah. Chris grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah where he was born and had the valuable experience of moving around a bit in his childhood to Twin Falls, Idaho, Denver, Colorado, and Buffalo, New York. Upon returning to Utah, Chris eventually became a successful mortgage loan office for over 20 years and assisted hundreds of clients to obtain financing. It was evident, early on, that Chris was an incredible athlete, his father taught him how to ski, golf, and play tennis and eventually Chris became a Division I Collegiate tennis player and had a single digit handicap. In his spare time he was teaching others including his kids, how to play both golf and tennis, but the list goes on. Chris was an aerialist, whether at the Bird doing 360's and gaynors off of trails and jumps, where yard sales were common, or going to the Cottonwood Heights pool, "flying through the air still," off a 25 foot platform, he had the courage of bull and the agility of a cat and his simple philosophy of, "build a bridge and get over it," is something that will be much more difficult for those that knew him because if you knew him, you couldn't help but fall in love with him.
He is survived by his children, Dylan Markosian whose mother is Bonnie Cockrell and Chandler and Taylor Markosian whose mother is Tosha Farrer and the grandmother, Barbara Ann Peterson who have been incredibly supportive, his parents Robert and Mary Markosian, and siblings Rob and Becky.
Chris's celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 20th at the Kramer Funeral Home, 2500 South Decker Lake Blvd #1, West Valley City, UT 84119 in the Chapel at 2pm. Please bring a lighter or one can be provided for you.

It seems like only yesterday Chris and I spent hours laughing as we waited tables at Quila's Restaurant. Our paths intertwined throughout the years; I was always so grateful to run into him. He was beautiful, talented and fun. RIP Chris until we meet again.

So sad to hear about Chris. I have only ran into him a few times since high school but he always had a smile when I did see him. Such great memories of Chris and Rob during our time at Brighton. Peace to all your family.

I just heard of Christopher's passing a few moments ago from a friend R.J. Stevens, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I met Christopher through his older brother Rob, who was my team mate, doubles partner and friend at Utah State. I didn't know Christopher as well as I would have liked...what I do know is that Christopher was an excellent athlete, with a great sense of humor who was loved deeply by those who knew him best. I also know that he lives on and we will see him again. My Prayers go out to his family and friends.
