Obituary Condolences

Floyd Elmer Weston "Mr. Missionary" 5/21/21 ~ 10/13/05 Floyd Elmer Weston was born 21 May 1921 in Los Angeles, California, to Floyd Edson and Carlie Jones Weston. His schooling was completed in Los Angeles prior to serving as a paratrooper in World War II, fighting in the Philippines as well as Japan. While at Cal-Tech he and his friends compiled a list of 17 points that would identify Christ's true church. He was baptized in the Pacific Ocean during the War, and married his eternal sweetheart, Sherlia Merle Lund, in 1944. Together they raised seven children, all the while serving the Lord in many callings in the Los Angeles area. His greatest joy was his family, and being a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints every day of his life. He was a friend to all and an inspiration to many. He is survived by his sweetheart Sherlia Weston of Boise; children Carlie and David Arntsen of Kingwood, TX; Stephen and RaNae Weston of Las Vegas, NV; Laurie and Rick Hulbert of Boise; Spencer and Rebecca Weston of Lima, Peru; Debbie and Jim Haining of St. Louis, MO; Wendy and Tayler Weston of Boise; and Adam and Gayla Weston of Salt Lake City; 31 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren. Floyd asked that you give a Book of Mormon away, and the family would appreciate your remembrances in the attached guestbook at Legacy.com Burial at the Boise Veterans Cemetery.
