Dorothy Pearson
Des Moines - Dorothy Pearson, 79, of Des Moines passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
Dorothy was born February 4, 1939, in Fergus Falls, MN, daughter of Arent and Helen (Campbell) Bolt. She graduated from Woodward High School, Woodward, IA, and later attended AIB in Des Moines where she studied business.
On September 10, 1960, she was united in marriage to Lowell Pearson and they made their home in Des Moines where Dorothy worked at Americana Beauty College and later as a cashier at Hy-Vee for 13 years.
Dorothy enjoyed reading, sewing and serving her church, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother Gerald and a sister Barbara.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Lowell, a daughter Sherryl Pearson of Urbandale, IA, a son Kevin (Sonja) Pearson of Grand Island, NE and three grandchildren, Robin Pearson, Christopher Pearson and John Pearson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Creekside Church, 2743 82nd Place in Urbandale. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, also at the church. Burial will be in the Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
