Winfield Rosenberger, Jr., 84, passed away January 25, 2013. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 29 at Life Pointe Church in Ames. Visitation will be one hour prior the service. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Winfield Scott Rosenberger, Jr. was born December 25, 1928, to Winfield Scott, Sr. and Irma Ione (Barker) Rosenberger in Iowa City, Iowa. He served in the United States Navy and worked as a baker. He was a longtime member of First Assembly of God Church in Ames, now Life Pointe Church. Winfield had a great love of animals, gardening, working in the yard and spending time with his wife, daughters and grandchildren.
Winfield is survived by his wife, Sue Ann Rosenberger of Ames; two daughters, Marie (Bradley) Wright of Knoxville and Marlys Cooper of Jacksonville, Florida; six grandchildren, Autumn Wright, Tyler Wright, Victoria Wright, Tom Banks, Vicki Fish and Shaun Johnson; and three great-grandchildren, Cody Bank, Ashley Bank, Jasmyn Johnson and Jeremy Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be designated to Life Pointe Church in Ames. Condolences may be left at www.adamssoderstrum.com.

Marie, you are in our prayers. Winfield was one of the most patient, caring men I've ever met. I don't remember him saying a negative word about anyone. He was always very kind to our family and was a blessing to us when Josh passed away. He will certainly be missed.
