Dr. Warren Charles Zabloudil died November 30, 2012, in Burlington, Iowa. He graduated from the University of Iowa School of Medicine in 1945 and began his medical career in Spokane, Washington, returning to Iowa in 1949 to practice in Monticello and then Preston, where he served as the community's physician for 10 years. He moved back to his hometown of Burlington in 1960, and practiced family medicine for 45 years until his retirement, after which he volunteered at the local hospital and elder care facility. He was a life member of the American Academy of Family Practitioners.

He married Harriet Salzman of Edinburgh, Pennsylvania in 1947. They met at Cook County Hospital in Chicago where he was completing his internship and she was a nurse. They were married for 43 years until her death in 1989. He married Myrna Vaughan of Burlington, Iowa in 1990.

He is survived by his wife, Myrna, and his six children from his first marriage: Yvonne Eng of Kent, Washington; Christine Zabloudil of Seattle, Washington; David Zabloudil of Falls City, Washington; Ann Rothe of Eagle River, Alaska; Warren Zabloudil Jr. of Arlington, Virginia; and Amy Zabloudil of Ft. Collins, Colorado; and three grandchildren: Alison Eng of Auburn, Washington; Christopher Eng of Kent, Washington; and Olivia Flöt of Ft. Collins, Colorado.

A funeral service for Dr. Zabloudil was held on December 4, 2012 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Burlington. A memorial service for family and friends will be held in February in Seattle, Washington.
