New Richmond, Wisconsin - Carolyn Richards passed away peacefully on February 15,2021 at the St Croix County Health Center in New Richmond, Wisconsin due to complications from Alzheimer's disease. Services for Carolyn will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, February, 19, 2021 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Interment will take place at Hartford Cemetery.

She was born Feb 10, 1965 in Des Moines, Iowa. After graduating from Lincoln High School in Des Moines, she went on to study Business Administration at Grand View College. Carolyn married Fred Richards on October 24, 1987, and they made their home in West Des Moines until moving with Fred's job to New Richmond, Wisconsin in 2004. She made many life-long friends while working primarily as a loan processor for Chilton Credit Bureau, Statesman Mortgage, and the Principal Financial Group while in the Des Moines area. After moving to Wisconsin, Carolyn worked at First National Community Bank as a loan processor and was also one of the bank's Notary Publics. Carolyn loved Children and even had her own day care business. Carolyn loved scrapbooking, trying new Pampered Chef recipes, and absolutely loved attending her boys' sporting events. Traveling was one of Carolyn's passions. She loved visiting Hawaii, Door County, California, Arizona, the Black Hills and the Florida Keys She went on several cruises, and especially loved going on family vacations to Okoboji.

She is survived by her Husband, Fred; children Connor (and Marissa) and Chase. She is also survived by her parents Dan and Shirley Reyes; her brother David (Tammi) Reyes; Brother In-law Jim (Lynda) Richards; Sister In-law Jo (Steve) Lovely; and many nephews and nieces.
