Regina Margaret (Murphy) Otto Obituary
Regina Margaret (Murphy) Otto 87, of Fishers, IN, Fortified with the Sacraments of The Holy Mother Church went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2018. She was born November 9, 1930 in Omaha, NE, to the late Vincent and Margaret Murphy. Regina was a graduate of Holy Name High School, St. Mary's College, and Creighton University. Regina married William M. Otto in June 1956 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Omaha, and moved to Carroll, IA, where they operated the Starline Ballroom and farmed. Regina taught school for 34 years, retiring from the Carroll School District in 1995. Regina spent much of her retirement in Des Moines, IA, St. Paul, MN, and Fishers, IN. Regina enjoyed reading, Catholicism, bible study, traveling, and visiting her children and their families. She encouraged enjoyment in reading and educational excellence.

Regina is survived by five children, Christopher (Barbara) of Glen Carbon, IL, Vincent (Kay) of Fishers, IN, Dr. Jane (Jason) Barlow of Scottsdale, AZ, Regina (Charles) Turning of Oakdale, MN, and William (Machelle) Otto of Rosemont, MN, and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by William Otto and her sister, Mary Ellen Vaughan.

A Memorial Service will be held in West Des Moines, IA, on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a Funeral Mass in Omaha, NE, on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Cathedral with a burial service to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers consider a donation to an elementary school teacher to help support their classroom or donate to Adopt-A-Classroom. Final care and arrangements are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Mortuaries & Crematory.
