Wayne Yori
Des Moines - Wayne John Yori died on January 17, 2019. He was born in Carney, Iowa, on December 21, 1939, to Amos and Lena Yori.
Wayne graduated from Dowling High School and attended Drake University. He retired from Firestone after many years of service. Wayne also worked part-time jobs as a bartender and auto parts driver. Along with his love of watching sports, Wayne loved bowling, gambling and enjoyed trips to Prairie Meadows.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Yori; brother, John Yori; children, Chris DeJoode, Mike (Dena) Yori, Gina Yori, Julie (Jim) Hernandez,Todd Bloomfield and Paul (Lana) Ford; grandchildren; Michelle, Jacinta, Shanon, Andrea, Mykah, Taylor, and Hannah; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Wayne.
