Delaware, OH - William Scott Nace, 55, and Debra Anne (Hunt) Nace, 47, of Delaware, Ohio passed away unexpectedly February 3, 2018 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Somerset County, PA.

Scott was born May 19, 1962 in Lansdale, PA. He attended North Penn High School and enjoyed playing his trombone in the marching band. He was a member of Bridgemen of Bayonne, NJ Drum & Bugle Corps. Scott had a passion for the outdoors, especially biking in national parks, on bike trails, and along waterways. Cooking, traveling, and cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles were favorite activities. Scott was employed at Whiteside Manufacturing.

Debra was born September 23, 1970 in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Valley High School and enjoyed participating in track and playing basketball and volleyball. She graduated from Iowa State University with degrees in Agronomy and French and served in the Peace Corps in Senegal, Africa. Debra worked for the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service in Iowa, Pennsylvania, Idaho, and Ohio and served with FEMA for the Puerto Rico Hurricane Recovery. She was a co-leader with the Girl Scouts and member of the Delaware Women's City Club.

Scott and Debra met on RAGBRAI in 1999 and were married on April 1, 2000. Together they expressed their love and devotion to family, friends, and community by sharing their sense of humor and through supportive acts of kindness and service in their church. Honor and integrity were core values exemplified in their lives. Scott and Debra are survived by their children, Bowen and Hannah.

Scott is also survived by his parents, David and Audrey Nace; siblings, Connie Reid, John Nace, and Amy (Dave) Gerhart; nephews, Josiah and Asher Gerhart; niece, Annie Gerhart.

Debra is also survived by her parents, Donald and Judith Hunt; sister, Deann Hunt; brother, Shawn (Rebecca) Hunt; niece, Evelyn Hunt; nephew, Jonah Hunt.

Services for Scott and Debra will be on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 am at Windsor Presbyterian Church, 6301 University Avenue, Windsor Heights, IA. Following the service, there will be a time to gather for refreshments and share remembrances. Interment will be conducted at 10:00 am at Highland Memory Gardens, 1 NE 60thAvenue, Des Moines, IA.
