Bethelyn Sue Gadbow

Johnston - Bethelyn Sue Gadbow, 78, passed away on November 16, 2018, at Altoona Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Duncan, OK, on December 26, 1939, to O.H. "Buddy" and Ara Jennings.

Sue was a graduate of Oklahoma University, a nurse, a preacher's wife, musician, and seamstress. She enjoyed Victorian Teas with her sister, was a prayer warrior and a devoted follower of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Sue is survived by her husband of 57 years, Don Gadbow; children, Renee (Bryan) Hainline, Michael (Sheila) Gadbow and Sherri (Don) Stockton; 8 grandchildren, Jesica (Tyler), Blake (Heather), Logan, Dustin, Dakota, Shad (Rachel), Chase and Shaylee; 7 great-grandchildren, Sophie, Max, Abby, Ally, Bella, Ryan and Jack. She was preceded in death by her parents; and twin sister, Janice LaRue Bailey.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Eastside Church of the Nazarene, 1451 E. 25th St, Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors before the service from 9 to 10:30 a.m., also at the church.
