Nyla Sturtz Obituary
Winterset
Nyla Ruth Sturtz, age 88, of Winterset, IA, formerly of Boone and Truro, IA, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Winterset Care Center South.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, at the Van Meter United Methodist Church, 100 Hazel Street, Van Meter, IA 50261. Rev. Linda Stueve will officiate.
Burial will be in the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone, Iowa.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 18, at the Walter~Schroeder Funeral Home at Fifth & Story Streets in Boone from 2 to 4 p.m. with the family present at this time to greet friends. Visitation continues Tuesday at Van Meter United Methodist Church with the family present to greet friends from 9 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m.
Nyla is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas DeWayne Sturtz (Delnita) of Urbandale, IA and Kevin Dewayne Sturtz (Barbara Hyde) of Osceola, IA; her six grandchildren, Martin Dewayne Sturtz of Marshalltown, IA; Traci Gardner (John) of Broken Arrow, OK; Lane Sturtz (Emily) of Truro, IA; Justin Sturtz (Melinda) of Des Moines, IA; Jodi Sturtz (Levi Garner) of Truro, IA and Whitney Sturtz (Michelle) of DeSoto, IA; her five great grandchildren, Michael Sturtz of Marshalltown, IA; Cannon Garner of Truro, IA; Peyton Elaine Sturtz of DeSoto, IA; Remy Sturtz of Truro, IA and Jaxon James Sturtz of Des Moines, IA. Nyla is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In memory of Nyla, a memorial has been established for the Van Meter United Methodist Church.
