Gregory Boyd Obituary
West Des Moines, IA
Suddenly December 2, 2013, at age 36. Beloved son of Peter J. and Barbara J. Boyd; loving grandson of the late Harry and Jean Boyd and Louis and Jean Sobocinski; dearest nephew of Kimberly (Ronald) Kozell, Patricia (late Richard) Allen, and Jayne (John) Mangione. Also survived by many dear cousins and friends. Greg loved all things football and hockey, especially the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and the Iowa Barnstormers. Greg moved from New York to Des Moines in 2005, to work for the Iowa Stars, and he spent the last 5 years as the Director of Marketing and Media Relations for the Barnstormers. Greg's family will be present to receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Cleveland Hill Chapel (Amigone Funeral Home, Inc.) 569 Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga, NY (between Harlem Rd. & the Thruway). A private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in honor of Greg.
