Patrick Mitchell Obituary
Des Moines
Patrick August Mitchell, 60, passed away October 7, 2015 in Creston, IA while on one of his many fishing trips with friends and family. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA. Visitation will follow.
Patrick was born March 29, 1955 in Carroll, IA to Joanna (Ohl) and Patrick Mitchell and was raised by his aunt, Mary Ellen Mitchell, and uncle, John Mitchell.
He was a graduate of Kuemper Catholic High School in Carroll and attended Iowa State University.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Wanda; daughter, Erin (Vaughn) Mitchell-Frye; son, David Mitchell; grandchildren, Deacon, Peyton and Ian Frye; sisters, Sherry Bolton and Jana Harding; brothers, Barry Mitchell and Jeff Mitchell; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dean Mitchell.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Holy Family Catholic School Foundation in Des Moines or your favorite Animal Rescue organization. Condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.
