I am sorry about Mrs. Larson's passing and how late I am in posting this. She was a sweet woman and a good friend to my parents, Bruce and Martha Mitton. The Romulus teachers from the 1950's were a tight knit group.
Again, I am sorry to hear about your mother's passing.

Dear Al Larson,
I am so sorry to hear about your wife, Mary Louise. Jerry Richardson told me about it at a rehearsal last night. Evidently he saw the notice in one of the local papers. He told me that the service was over, otherwise I would have been there.
I was in Mary Louise's 7th grade science class. At least I think that was the year and subject, but I could be wrong after so many years. I liked her a lot, as I did you.
As far as I can remember, you started me on trumpet during your first year of teaching at Romulus. A few months later I switched to trombone, which was actually my first choice. I graduated in 1958, which was when you moved on to livonia, and I am grateful that both you and Mrs Larson were my teachers. You both played a big part in shaping my life. I am also grateful that you had a long happy marriage, and that you were able to enjoy each other for so long.
Sincerely,
Richard Boelter
