Jack H. Stoker, 86, died Thursday, April 2, 2015. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday, April 10, at Pleasantview Baptist Church, 4400 Pleasantview Drive, Arlington. Officiating will be Pastor Jimmy McNeil, Pastor Eddie Malfrus, Music Minister Mark Hampton and retired minister Dr. J.R. Chaney of Inglewood Baptist Church, followed by family visitation. Interment: at a later date in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Union Gospel Mission, Box 2144, Fort Worth, Texas 76113-2144; Pleasantview Baptist Church, 4400 Pleasantview Drive, Arlington, Texas 76017; or a charity of choice. Jack was born March 22, 1929, near Crowley to Forrest and Blanche Adelaide Hall Stoker. He attended Crowley elementary and junior high schools and Paschal High School in Fort Worth. He served during both World War II and the Korean War. After serving in the military, he worked for Cummins Sales & Service and retired after 35 years from Cummins Southern Plains, a diesel engine and power generation equipment distributor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Blanche Adelaide Hall Stoker; brother, Forrest Stoker Jr.; sister, Gerry Lynne Stoker Schooley; sister, Helen Vivian Stoker Smith; and first wife and the mother of his children, Ola Nell Dewberry Stoker. Survivors: His wife of 31 1/2 years, Janet Elaine Stoker; brother, James Robert "Bob" Stoker and wife, Sue, of The Colony; sister, Anne Murphy of Weatherford; sons, Philip Stoker and wife, Diane, of New Bedford, N.H., Pat Stoker and wife, Lynne, of Kerens and Chris Stoker and wife, Gail, of Park City, Colo.; daughter, Susan Bobb of New Orleans, La.; stepson, Brent Billingsley and wife, Becky, of Arlington; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
