I am very sorry for your loss. I went to school with Ross and he was one of the greatest guys I knew. Always ready to lend a hand or help brighten your day when you were down. It's a tragic loss and a life cut way too short. My family's prayers, thoughts and love are with yours.

I only knew him a short time but in that time he taught me so much about life, about loyalty, true friendship, etc. We shared some great intense moments that I've relived over and over these past few days. My sincere condolences to his family and the close knit group of friends he talked about constantly and loved like family.

We were so sorry to hear of your tragic loss. There are no words that will comfort you at this time, but we want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We remember fun times at your house in Kennedale with all the kids running around playing and swimming. I know you are so proud of the great path in life he took. Simply unbelievable. Although I have not spoken with Ross in about 3 years, I will never forget the years spent with him all throughout Junior High and High School. He was easily one of the nicest & funniest people I ever had the privilege of knowing and one of the few that I remember from those days of my life. Ross was taken from us far to soon, and we will all miss him greatly.

God Bless the family. Mr. Shreves helped change my son life forever. My son was bullied and picked on by kids that would lie when he reported it and they rarely got in trouble this happened from 1st - 7th grade, then God sent an Angel Mr. Shreves he took a leap of Faith and chose to BELIEVE in my son Nicholas Handy and this gave my son HOPE and he learned to Press and ENJOY life. Mr. Shreves often checked on him even in High School to make sure he was fine. Words can not begin to express my thankfulness that we crossed paths. His impact has definitely been imprinted on my son heart.

Those of us who were fortunate to work with Ross were blessed by his wit, humor and kindnesses. It's hard to fathom the loss of this man. I'll be forever grateful I knew him and was priveleged to observe his positive influence on the lives of the young people he taught.

I remember playing baseball with Ross when we were kids on the Cardinals. Troy was our coach. I remember him being a good athlete, and a great kid! My sympathy goes out to you Shreves family. I am very sorry for your loss.

Mr. Shreves was more than just a teacher. He was a friend. He was so lively and fun. He always put everyone in a good mood. Ross was the greatest. I wish he was still here. john was a mentor to my son caleb johnson. caleb called him FRIEND. many times caleb had talks with john. john was a big help to me. caleb needed someone he could confined in. caleb is so deeply sad over johns death.
