Charles Lynwood McCauley, 77, of Fort Worth died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014. Service: In consideration of Lyn's wishes, services will be private. Memorials: The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the . After graduating from Polytechnic High School in 1954, on Nov. 1, 1956, he married June Nelson of Fort Worth. While attending UTA, "Lyn" worked at Convair/General Dynamics on the B-58 and F-111 programs. In 1964 he designed and built his own home where he and June resided for the rest of his life. He later owned and operated Woodcraft Industries, Inc. for more than 35 years. As an avid radio-controlled model airplane builder, he was known nationally for his many scratchbuilt jet airplanes such as the B-58 and F-100. Not only did he enjoy model airplanes, but he was a private pilot who flew his own Beechcraft Bonanza. Survivors: Lyn is survived by his wife, June; children, Mark McCauley of Hurst, Melissa Douglas of Duncanville, Brad McCauley of Valley Ranch; and granddaughters, Morgan Douglas and Madison Douglas.
