Daisie Lometa White, 87, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Greenwood. Lometa was born on Aug. 16, 1926, to Joe and Hazel Garrett in Memphis, Tenn. She moved to Fort Worth where she met her beloved husband, William M. McKinley White Jr. They married in 1945. Lometa was a graduate of Poly High School. She retired from Cummins Lighting Center after 30 years as a lighting specialist. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Fort Worth, sang in the choir, and was on the board of trustees. She was dearly loved by all her family and friends. Lometa was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Survivors: Son, Bill White and wife, Pauline; daughter, Loma Fergueson and husband, Clarence; son, Marc White and wife, Robyn; sister, Juanita Holcombe of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Bob White; grandchildren, James Ratcliffe, Bryan and Rob White, Brandi Kitchens and Brittanye White; seven great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; stepgrandchildren; and stepgreat-grandchildren.
