
Gordon Dean Carlock, 74, a loving husband, father and pawpaw, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 9, 2009.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday in Lucas Funeral Chapel, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Gordon was born to Ramona and Harry Carlock on Oct. 23, 1934, in Oak Park, Ill. He graduated from Maine High School before attending the University of Tennessee, where he met his wife, Margaret. He served in the U.S. Air Force and went to work for American Airlines, retiring after 39 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, actively volunteering in the community and serving as usher at First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth where he was a member. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors: Wife, Margaret; daughters, Cathy and husband, Buddy Whittington, Sandy and husband, Chuck Spinella, and Janet and husband, Tim Crawford; grandchildren, Robert and Chelsea Whittington, Sadi, Jonathan, Chandler, Charley and Joseph Spinella and Evan and Ellie Crawford; brother, Harry Carlock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
