I am sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in my prayers as you deal with all the changes, decisions and emotion that death brings. I remember being in your grandmother's home 30 years ago and remember always feeling welcomed there and sensing that it was a place of comfort for you.
She had a long and full journey touching many lives, leaving a mark, whether heavy or light. Next stop....reunion, full understanding, joy and love the depth of which is beyond our comprehension.

Yes my grandmother was an inspiration to many. My whole life she was one of my favorite people, but in the last year she was the person I was most close to. Every single person she met came away being touched and inspired in some way. She had a great sense of humor, a strong sense of ethics, social grace, determination, and humility.
She has been the touchstone and stability of the family. No matter how many generations away, how far the distance, everyone at some point, Christmas, summer vacation, birthdays, whatever-days, all have been in her house, eaten at her table, had coffee in her kitchen, hung out on her breezeway porch.
Her passing is surely an end of an era. She will be greatly missed.
