Johnny Tex Carter ALEDO -- Johnny Tex Carter passed away at home on October 16, 2018, one week short of his 90th birthday. SERVICE: A memorial will be held at Castleberry Baptist Church in White Settlement, November 10, 2018 at 4 p.m., 1250 Jim Wright Freeway, White Settlement, Texas 76108. Tex was born in Venus, Texas. Graduated Carter Riverside High School and attended Arlington State College. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1948. He retired from General Portland Cement Company and Holcim Cement Company as a Maintanance manager. He was a member of the Riverside Masonic Lodge in Fort Worth. Johnny was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. He will be missed. Preceeded in death by his wife, Joye Carter; mother, Maud Carter; father, Clyde J. Carter. SURVIVORS: Sons, Clyde Carter and wife, Sandra, John Barry Carter and wife, Shonda; step-daughters, Susan and Summer Alexander; Numerous adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
