Our beautiful daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Millican, left us unexpectedly Monday, June 20, 2011, in Arlington. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3401 Bellaire Drive South, Fort Worth. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Home-Bowen Chapel. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Legacy Boxer Rescue or SPCA to support Lauren's passion. Lauren was born Sept. 13, 1988, in Arlington, where she grew up. She attended Wood Elementary, where she was on the Wall of Fame (for the highest academic achievers), Boles Junior High and Martin High School, where she played on the tennis team. She cheered for AACU for two years. She attended the University of Arkansas, then returned to Texas where she worked at the Omni Hotel in Fort Worth as a massage therapist. Lauren had a contagious smile and loved meeting new people. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She loved her family and never missed a chance to be at a family gathering. She had just begun a new hobby of baking and loved to test gourmet recipes on her family and friends. Everyone knew she could be a top class chef someday. She was an excellent artist and planned on attending UTA this fall. She was a lover of all animals, but mostly boxers. She supported the Legacy Boxer Rescue organization. Lauren was preceded in death by her grandfather, Manse Millican, and uncle, Gary Perkins. Survivors: Her parents, Pam and Scott Millican; brother, Ryan Tharp; sister, Hilary Millican; grandparents, Ruth Millican and Jim and Jan Moore; aunt, Marcy Perkins; uncles, Ron Millican (Vickie) and David Moore (Diana); cousins, Josh Perkins (Mary), Jamie Milliman (Rit), Jacob Millican, Zach Millican, Chris Riley and Shaun Riley; numerous distant cousins; family friend, Amy Gibson; best friends, Aaron Rash, Chris Begole, Julia Pham and numerous others whose lives she touched through school, work and life in general.

To The Millican Family, Beautiful, Precious Lauren, worked with us at Legacy In The Village, she was the first person clients would see as they entered the door. Lauren was a "SWEET SPIRIT" in a busy and crazy world, her smile radiated along with her wonderful attitude. Her laughter was HUGE and she always did her best to try to accomodate us all. I am so sorry for your loss and the unbearable pain that comes with it. Please know that our Savior Jesus Christ is FAITHFUL,may He keep you strong, close and blessed with the great memories of Lauren that you have. In deepest sympathy,
Servant, Kimberely Anderson

My thoughts and prayers are with Lauren and her family. There are a whole bunch of LBR Boxers waiting for her on the other side. I'm sure she is surrounded by wiggling nubs right now and that they are celebrating having their newest angel join them. She will watch over our babies until we all meet again. I cannot imagine the heartbreak you must be feeling. I am so sorry for your loss. I keep picturing Lauren as a little girl - remembering the friends sharing in talent shows, birthday parties, sleepovers.....what wonderful memories they are! My prayer for you all is that those heartprints that Lauren has left with you will bring you some comfort in the journey without her physical presence.... I am so very sorry.....

Love,
Barbara Payne (and Jacki and Connor)
