Nancy Allen Obituary

Nancy Evetts Allen, 59, of Arlington passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015, after a prolonged illness. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Moore Funeral Home. Memorials: Since Nancy loved animals so much, in lieu of flowers, if one so be inclined, a donation to your local SPCA would be in line with the family's wishes. Nancy was born March 5, 1956, in Fort Worth to Harold Gene Evetts and the late Norma Jo Moore. Throughout her life, Nancy had a profound love for all creatures, particularly her horses, dogs and ducks. Her greatest love was for her family and friends. She prayed for all of them often and never missed an opportunity to give a great big hug. Nancy was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the Former Texas Rangers Association. She enjoyed barrel racing, tennis and volleyball. Survivors: Nancy is survived by her husband, Larry, of 28 years; her parents, Harold and Joye Evetts; sisters, Phyllis Evetts (Charles), Kathy Glibert (Jess); brother, David Lancaster (Debbie); father and mother-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Allen; sisters-in-law, Cathy McCoy (Richard), Mary Kay Swenson (Barry), Jane Jones (Russell) and Jill Mach (Patrick); 24 nieces and nephews; 17 great-nieces and great-nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
