I met Tom back in the early 80's. He was on a TV show along with me. He was interviewed by the host and that's where I met him. I was an Elvis Impersonator at time and Tom asked me to travel with him and his crew To Graceland, in which I did. It was a great experience for me. We became very close along with his family. I was shocked when I found out that he passed.

Insanely funny. Insanely loyal. Brilliant, creative, intense, wild, fearless...a beautiful and unique human being. He collected friends everywhere he went. I was indeed lucky to have been one of them. God Bless You, Tom. RIP

I just got the news. I vividly remember all the Rainone brothers, especially Tom, as friends and customers in my record store Fantasia. The family were longtime friends of my manager and great friend Chris Pool. Tom was always so much fun to be around. My deepest sympathy to his friends and family.

I remember Tom. A group of us would gather at Mama's Pizza on South Cooper for lunch and I credit him with introducing me to A Clockwork Orange through the short he filmed on a cruise ship. He planted the seed of appreciation for the art of film. So glad he succeeded in his passions and sad he's gone so soon.

Tom, I'm going to miss hearing your chopper at night when I walk my dog and some of our impromptu conversations. I was glad there was somebody else watching our neighborhood at night.

One Christmas, Tom sent me a Christmas card with him and the grandmother corpse from TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. I called him up and told him I wasn't in LA but working in a New York City basement. His response was "What the hell you doin' down there, son? Fighting CHUD?"

To the brothers, my condolences. Tom was a uniquely enlightening individual. I considered it an honor to have been his friend. Such a coincidence that, in conversation one day, he mentioned that he had an uncle named Phil Esposito....Phil and my dad, Bobby Joe Ince, were very close friends.
May the lord be with you guys through this troubling time. Your brother will be missed.

Pete, Greg, Frankie, and all the Rainone family our deepest sympathies and condolences for the loss of your beloved brother, Tom. My life was greatly enriched by knowing him through all these years. Tom's creativity, ebullience, and iconclastic worldview are all things I shall treasure in my memories.
This is not a fade to black for me, it is a Premiere of all the great things Tom accomplished and his memory lives on.

I will forever treasure every memory I have of Tom through all of those years that he shared a friendship with my son Paul. The stories that made us laugh, and even the ones that kept me pacing the floor at night. I am deeply saddened and shocked to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to each of you brothers, Pete, Gregg, and Frank in this time of grief.
