Ruth, Eulalia
Eulalia "Lale" Conway Ruth, age 94, passed away peacefully September 12, 2017, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Lale was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, graduated from Johnstown High School, and Seton Hill College, Greensburg, PA. Lale was both a mother and teacher to many young people. She began her career teaching at Windber, PA. High School, retiring from Westerville's Walnut Springs Jr. High. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and their many friends. Her door was always open to anyone who stopped at her home. Lale enjoyed travelling, visiting locations all over the USA, Europe and Latin America with her husband, family and friends. One of her fondest memories was her 1948, 2.5 month honeymoon, traveling by car circling the USA. She was an avid OSU and Penn State football fan. Married to William B. Ruth, Sr. June 1948 in Johnstown, PA, moved to Westerville, OH in 1950, then to Worthington, OH in 1954. She survived the 1938 Johnstown Flood and was the last original resident of the Pinney Addition neighborhood (63 years) in Worthington. She was preceded in death by her loving husband William B. Ruth, Sr. She is survived by children, Bill (Chris), Mike, Steve, Pat (Brenda) and Alicia (Kelton) Brown; grandchildren, Leo (Erin), Danny (Beth), Jessica, Greg, Aidan, Jacob, Jason Brown and Kristen Brown; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Sean and special son, Patrick Duffy. Calling hours will be Sunday, September 17 from 5-8 p.m. (Prayer Service 7:30 p.m.) at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, OH. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 18 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 5750 N. High Street, Worthington, OH. Followed by interment at Kingwood Memorial Park, 8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, OH.
