Moss, Faye
Faye Lavonne Moss, age 79, of Johnstown, died Friday morning, August 4, 2017 at Centerburg Point Care Center. She was born on August 23, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Nathan Virgil and Rosie Marie (Ray) Jenkins. On January 21, 1955 she married Jimmie Moss, Sr. They were married for 45 years before his passing in 2000. Faye worked for many years as a baker for Bachmans Bakery in Columbus. She was a "Girl Guard" for the Salvation Army. She loved playing Euchre and Poker with friends and family around the table. Most important was her role as mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed by her eight childrenm Jimmie Jr. of Cape Coral, Florida, John (Mary) of Gahanna, Mike (Angie) of Columbus, Dannie (Tina) of Galena, Sherrie (Terry) Gockenbach of Thornville, Ohio, Deanna (Robert) Callan of Centerburg, Paula Evans of Cape Coral, Florida, and Linda (Jeff) Wells of Frazeysburg; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her siblings Tommy, John, Paul, Betty, and Agnes Jenkin, Isabelle Denune, and Margie Mahle. Friends may call on the family on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at the DeVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 637 North State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. Funeral services will be held there on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Hartford Cemetery in Croton.
