Garold Rhoades Obituary

Rhoades Garold Avery "Jerry" Rhoades, Jr., 1943-2017, age 73, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at his step-son's home in Mandeville, Louisiana. Beloved husband of the late Joyce Pelanne Rhoades. He was born November 13, 1943 in Columbus, son of the late Jane Shilling Rhoades and Garold Avery Rhoades, Sr. A resident of LaPlace, Louisiana, he was a retired auto mechanic who, friends will tell you, could fix anything. In his off time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR races and football. He was a kind, generous man who would help anyone in need. He is survived by a sister, Michele M. Rhoades; and nieces, Mary Jo Knabb, Susan Rhoades and Lisa Rhoades. His brother Stephen R. Rhoades predeceased him in 2002. He is also survived by his step-children, all residents of Louisiana. A memorial service was held January 9, 2017 in Louisiana.
