Mr.and Mrs. Tharp were the first people to ever hire me.
I was 17 yrs old and was the first employee they hired to work at their daycare (Hilltop Daycare) they loved me and trusted me with those children.
I worked there for 10 yrs and enjoyed almost every moment. We shared stories, lunch, laughs, children's movies and wisdom.
They were by far two of the sweetest most intelligent people to impact my life.
They taught me patience and added to the values and morals set in place by my own parents.
I will remember them forever and how they taught me to look at the cycle of life and death as an inevitable gift to be enjoyed and never taken for granted.
When I visited Mr. Tharp a year ago he gave me a coin from his coin collection ( I use to beg him for those) and he told me he had a great life and was happy. I can hear his mischievous laugh now.
He deserves his rest because he worked so hard.
Rest well my friend! I'll love you forever.
Prayers to Judy, Tim and the family

Love, Bridget

Mr. Tharp was my principal at the original Scioto elementary school. He was an amazing man and leaves a wonderful legacy. Thank you Mr. Tharp for the positive impact you had on me as a young girl. You are forever embedded into the person I am today. I am forever grateful.
My sincere condolences to his family.

Mr. Tharp was principle when I and all my brothers attend scioto elementary.. I remember him as a tough, but fair man, who really seemed to care about the kids. I had transferred in when in middle of 4th grade year, when my mom re-married and we moved. he talked to me, showed me around the school, and assigned me a "friend" for several days to help me acclimate. that kindness was never forgotten. thank you. my condolences to the family

Just reading his name brought a smile to my face. He was a great principal. Always had a joke. I have Wonderful memories of my elementary school years. I also remember when Mr. Tharp and many other teachers paid their respects when our father passed at a young age and my younger sister was still a student at Scioto. I had moved on to the high school by then but for him to do that made me feel better.
My thoughts are with you all at this time.

Tim and Judy - You had such great parents. I remember both your mom and dad so well. You were both raised with the best values and love. I feel for you because when we lose parents, it is very, very hard. Your parents loved each other to the fullest as well as their love for you. That is hard to find now.
It takes time...but eventually you will remember all of the good times and it will bring a smile to your face. No one prepares us for the later years in life.

Anyways, I hope you both can accept that they are now together...which is what I remember. I adored both of your parents.

I have been through all of this, so feel free to contact me if you just want to chat. I would love to catch up with both of you.

Take Care,
