Netters and family, I did not have the privilege of meeting your Dad in person but I know he was loving and giving. His generosity reached all the way to the little orphans of Africa and I pesonally presented their care givers with a gift of support from the two of you. I thank God for his life on earth and know that he is watching over you from his heavenly home.

Dear Family, I guess I must have done something wrong as the first message did not record. I will always remember uncle Luke for his ever so big smile, the Daniel smile. I always enjoyed talking to him. His knowledge, his stories was interesting. He was truly a very nice man. He will be missed. Tony Recinella

Dear Grandpa,
I will miss you greatly. Please give a huge hug to Grandma and Frank, tell them that we love them. I will always remember your quirky sense of humor and love of a good prank..remember the ad hoc shower arrangement for my dad off of the clothesline connected to the house on Wyandotte? I miss eating breakfast in the backroom with you and grandma during my trips to Ohio in the summer and I miss working in the garden with you and grandma. Please watch over our entire family from where you are, God Bless. Love, Janet

Hi Grandpa, we will miss you. You always had an interesting story or bit of wisdom to offer all of us grandkids. I miss your workshop and all of the items that you used to invent and working in the garden with you, when we would come from Chicago on our summer family visits. Say 'hi' and give grandma a hug from me. God Bless. Love Janet

Netters and family.. my deepest sympathy to you all. I had the pleasure of knowing your father and mother and admired them both for their strong faith in God and love for their family. May you all come together in love to celebrate their lives and know that they were loved and respected by everyone that they touched here on earth. May they be your angels in heaven watching down on all of you. All my love Tammie

To the Daniel and extended families:
To his children: he was a patient on our unit - and mine in particular - one night - I will never forget. He was 84 then, and on an upper floor of OSUMC, which I won't reveal here. Your mother was still in the place they were living at the time, but he had her photo at his bedside. He had a twinkle in his bluish eyes speaking of her, a calmness, wisdom about him, and many of us were drawn to him. I spent so much time in his room, simply talking with him, after my shift, that other nurses thought something was going horribly wrong with him since I was still there, but that wasn't the case at all. I just so enjoyed the light of his life and soul, conversation and peacefulness. It was intangible, but has stayed with me, and several other nurses that felt that, too. We've mentioned him at different times over the last several years, wondered how he was after Mary Frances had left this earth, and always acknowledged the impact this very special man had on those of us who cared for him during this relatively short stay on our unit.
I loved hearing the stories of his life with his lovely wife, her sewing abilities, the love of his life she was...and ALL their earthly journeys together. He told me of his career, triumphs, loving children and many more family members, and God's grace in bringing him what he'd had in this life. I spent at least another hour after my shift ended, just to sit at his bedside and listen more. He was simply magical.
Sui generis, your father. I haven't forgotten the impact of this man, a patient, oh so briefly, but whose presence is still with me close to 7 years later. Mary Frances is very happy to have him by her side once again, that is certain.
Much love and prayers to you at this time.

Thinking of you Joanie and your family during this time of sorrow. I will remember your father as a man of dignity and admiration. A well respected individual to all those who knew him. Love and Prayers, Cindie Szekely

Thinking of you Annette and your entire family during this difficult time. I know that your father will continue to live on through the many wonderful qualities that he passed on to each and everyone of family members. Love Gail Bennett (Tolles Family!)
