Charles R. "Chuck" Thompson, 53, formerly of Orient, passed away at Doctors Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer on Monday, June 25, 2018. He was born on May 13, 1965 in Columbus. Chuck was the owner of Joseppi's Pizza for many years, that his father Robert H. Thompson was the founder of in 1969. He also owned a trucking business for a number of years and was a graduate of Grove City High School, Class of 1983. Chuck enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and loved to go off roading with his Jeep and 4 wheeler. He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother Robert and Sandy Thompson. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Cheryl (Cossin); his mother and step-father, Mildred (Cassidy) and Rob Lusk; children, Michael (Shawna) McCain, Angie (Drew), Jeffrey Thompson, Eric (Ana) Coddington; his cherished grandchildren, Raylen, Matthew, Brooklyn, Karleigh, Ethan, and Arden; sister, Julee (Steve) Camp; nephews, Tyler and Josh; sisters-in-law, Sherry (Randy) Mathias and Lisa Crawford; numerous aunts and uncles; many many friends; his beloved dog, Bruiser. The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Spence-Miller Funeral Home, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City, a Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6 p.m. with Roger Henry.
