David Dave S. Brown, age 79, Columbus, Ohio, passed peacefully October 8, 2018. A graduate of Columbus North High School, US Army Veteran and retired US Postal Service carrier (31 years). An avid golfer and Boston Red Sox fan, David was preceded in death by parents Arthur and Juanita (Peggy) Brown, older brothers Stanley, William, Robert, and nephew Kent Brown. David is survived by his spouse of 53 years, Grace Ellen (Hoskins); and son, Michael of New York; as well as ten nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. David's life will be celebrated with visitation on Friday, October 12, 2018, 2-4 and 6-8 pm and funeral service on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington, OH with interment immediately following in Union Cemetery. While flowers are appreciated and welcome, the family suggests contributions in David's memory may be made if desired to: Kindred Hospice, 540 Officecenter Place, Suite 100, Gahanna, OH 43230. www.rutherfordfuneralhome.com to leave condolences.
