Elizabeth H. Monahan

Monahan Elizabeth H. Monahan, 96, of Worthington and previously of Trumbull, CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2015. She was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Charles and Helen Puidak. Retired from Remington Arms/DuPont after nearly 40 years of service. Preceded in death by her parents, husband John Lemachko, husband William Monahan, niece Joan Larson, sister Marion Corbin, brothers Joseph Sedor, Edward Sedor and Vincent Puidak. She is survived by her nieces, Marilyn Baldwin of Worthington and Martha (Nick) Ismailoff of Port Saint Lucie, FL; great-nieces, Kim (John) Desidere of Siesta Key, FL, Robin (Joe) Adamo of Southington, CT, Kimberly (Joachim) Reich of Lake Forest, IL, and Liz (Kemper) Allison of Worthington; and her adored great-great nieces and nephews, David (Ashley) Allison of Worthington, Alyssa Stried of Libertyville, IL, Michael Allison, Katie Allison, Bobby Adamo of Southington, CT, Cianna Desidere of Siesta Key, FL; and dear friend, Marty McKinney of Columbus. "Aunt Betty" loved life, traveling, her many friends and family members and helping others in need. She had a great sense of humor, a big heart, and was direct and to the point. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A private memorial service will be held at a later date with burial to follow in Bridgeport, CT.
