Arnold "Gary" Carter, 80, of Galloway, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, August 11, 2017. Gary was born September 23, 1936 in Jesse, West Virginia to the late William and Grada (Cook) Carter. Gary was an active member of the Alkire Road Church of Christ where he served as a long-time Elder. He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Rita (Love) Carter; their children, Randall Gary (Karen) Carter, Denise (Ned) Herald, all of Columbus, and Jim (Mindy) Carter of Apex, North Carolina; grandchildren, Amanda (Gordon) Rogers, Brian Herald (fiancé', Sami Koban), Megan (Justin) Reynolds, Kevin Herald, Robbie (Kayla) Carter, and Nick Giamoni; great grandchildren, Eddie, Drew, Ryelee, David, Michael, and Stella; and numerous nieces. Gary and Rita enjoyed the winter months in Florida and calling his family to tell them how warm it is.
