Frohnhoefer Arthur Frank Frohnhoefer, 87, of Alpine, Texas, passed away on April 15, 2017 at Odessa Medical Center. Art was born July 15, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio to Anthony Frohnhoefer and Frieda Durtchi Frohnoefer. Art was a World War II Veteran serving in The United States Navy. Rosary was recited on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Alpine Memorial Funeral Home Gesslin Chapel and Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Father Robert Kolbie as Celebrant. A military graveside service with a United States Navy Honor Guard followed Mass at Elm Grove Cemetery. Art attended South High School in Columbus, and worked for Columbus Auto Parts Company, and was a member of American Legion Post #79, and Veterans of Foreign War Post #3424 in Columbus. He was also a devoted member of The National Rife Association. In 2003, Art moved to a hidden jewel in West Texas, Alpine, Art was at home here, as well as Art never met a stranger. He was loved by all that knew him and he would be a mentor and Father figure to many of those that he met. Preceding Art in death are his parents. Those left to honor and cherish Art's memory are his sisters, Jeanne Kingery, Joyce Gerhold, and Carol Wanner, all of Columbus, Ohio. Art is further survived by his beloved Alpine Friends, Andy and Janna Stubbs, Henry Ramirez, and Shirley Dudley; as well as many nieces and nephews.
