Barbara Lucille Forrester Kraker, passed away March 5, 2018. She was born October 1, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William Ronald and Lucille Creed Forrester. She was a graduate of North High School with the class of 1945. After graduation she attended and graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in History in 1949. She was also a member of PI BETA PHI sorority. After college she worked at the F&R Lazarus Co as head of stock and supervisor of front street level. In 1951 she married Dr. Jack L. Kraker and they moved to Lancaster, Ohio where he opened his medical practice. While in Lancaster she was a past president of the Fairfield County Medical Auxiliary, Twig Three, Parent League and a member of the Fairfield County Child Welfare Board and active in her children's activities. She and her husband divorced in 1969 and she relocated to Columbus. She graduated from the Columbus School for Practical Nurses. She worked at Grant Hospital, retired from Riverside in 1992 and then worked part-time at Friendship Village of Dublin until 2001. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Annie Lucille Kraker Peabody in 1992 and her oldest son Jeffrey Louis Kraker in 2009. She is survived by Mark Creed (Barbara) Kraker of Wooster, Ohio and their sons, Travis Creed Kraker of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Tyler Dean Kraker of Wooster, Ohio. She is also survived by her youngest son, Thomas William Kraker of Key West, FL. At her request there will be no services or calling hours. Burial in Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster, OH at the convenience of the family. Memorial gifts may be made to Inniswood Garden Society, 940 S. Hempstead Rd., Westerville, OH 43081.
