Billy G. Senter Sr., age 76, of Orient, passed away March 18, 2018 at Mt Carmel Medical Center surrounded by faith, family and friends. He was born in Grundy, VA to the late Charles and Arlene Senter. A man of Christian faith, He spent his time as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, supporting family and friends, golfing, cheering on the Buckeye's, playing Rook, fishing, fiddling with his cars and good food. Billy served in the United States Army and was a member of the 101st Airborne Division, with the designation of sharpshooter. His career was spreading the Gospel as a truckdriver being employed by Roadway in Columbus and South Carolina for over 30 yrs. After retiring, he and his wife Barbara returned to Ohio to be near his priority, "family". He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, of 53 years; and his son, Billy (Tonya) G. Senter Jr.; his five grandchildren, Nicole Senter of Kansas City, Mo, Megan (Lawrence) Hawley of Grove City, Stephanie (C.J.) Gomez of Columbus, Zachary Senter of Grove City and Amber Senter of Calabash, SC. His legacy continues with four great-grandchildren, Carter, Clay and Carson Gomez and Divine Campos. He is also survived by two brothers, Charles Senter of Hillsboro, OH, Kenneth (Helena) Senter of Longs, SC; three sisters-in-law, Ella Senter, Diane Senter and Ann Leady; one brother-in-law, Charles Gollahon; and countless nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers Bob Senter and James Senter. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 24 at 9:30am with visitation from 8 am at the SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus St, Grove City, OH. Interment with military honors will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, OH. Online guest book may be signed at www.spencemillerfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Calvary Road Community Church and Trinity Assembly of God.
